Yes! My hubby and I just adopted a stray cat a few months ago, so I am also well on my way :)

Hammer is quite handsome!

And, nope, only five fingers on both hands.

Awww, yay for giving a home to stray kitty! I told Hammer about your kind compliment, and he meowed vigorously in response. Take that as you will. :)

Hammer! Perfect cat name. And Hemingway cats!! I wanted to take one when I toured the Hemingway House back in 2004. Jack wouldn’t let me. Neither would our tour guide :)

DANGET. Those husbands and tour guides have a way of ruining a perfectly good heist scheme!

C was sitting next to me when I watched this and she goes, “Sarah!” I’m shocked she remembered your name and that the person on the vlog is the same she one met months ago! Two year old brains are kind of amazing.

Also, cute kitty! I have a dog who thinks she’s a cat (which works for me since I’m sort of deathly allergic to cats). I also have a neighborhood cat I call Binx who hangs out on our back porch and for whom I buy all manner of cat foods/treats.

AW LIL C! I think my heart just grew three sizes. Two-year-old brains are completely amazing!

HA to your cat-like dog! That’s hilarious! And sounds like Binx is a lucky cat!

PSH! Just remember he is on a kitty diet. I know you’d be the type of aunt to spoil.

ps, I think the best idea for a vacation ever is to take Megan to Florida and go to Harry Potterland and the Hemingway house. She will love us forever.

I did not quite realize that fact about writers and their cats :-) Hubby and I are planning on getting a cat this year so yay one more step towards my writing career :-)

Hammer is adorable! I’ve been to Hemingway’s house and the cats roam around the place like they own it! They are adorable, though, even with all their extra toes. Congrats on this crucial step in becoming a Writer. You are now bound for greatness ;)

I need to get myself to this six-toed cat resort! It’s funny because you wouldn’t think that one little extra toe would be so visually alarming, but it stands out! And THANK YOU—now that you’ve said it, it must come true ;)

Your cat is adorable!!! I love black and white cats. They look so hug-able. I’m more of a dog person (I know, so un-writerly), but I think cats are soooo cute. I can’t ever have one though because I’m allergic. :P Unless it lives exclusively outside.

My grandma has a stray cat that she’s unofficially adopted (i.e. she feeds her and sometimes gives her baths), and she’s the sweetest, most mild-tempered kitty I have ever met. I love her. I just can’t live with her (or get my face too close to her) or it’s over for me. Haha.

Awww, allergies are always ruining a good time! It’s nice that you get to visit the cat though, that’s almost as good!

We have four cats… so why don’t I have an agent, a publishing contract, and a bestselling novel yet? Hmmm??! ;)

LOL Your cats are obviously not doing their job correctly! They’re supposed to catch your must, not chase it away!

D’aww. Charlie (the kitty in the photograph I sent you) loves to be my writing mascot. Most of the Twitter pics of him involve him curled near the laptop.

Great video! I love how you punctuated it with the images and sounds.

Charlie is SOOO cute! And thank you!!

Hammer’s so cute! Congrats. :) Loved the video. I visited Hemingway’s house in in Key West last year and there were a ton of cats (and even a creepy cat cemetery!).

So many of you have been to the Hemingway house! That is so awesome, but yeah, creepy cemetary o.0

Yayyyy! Hammer is adorable, and I’m happy to see that he’s adopting admirably to the challenges of keyboard-climbing and other writer’s-cat challenges. :)
